laurarae: To support my family, serve and protect the United States, and foster a successful career in special securities. I have nearly seven years’ experience as Assistant Special Securities Officer, operating the sole DIA SCIF on the Presidio of Monterey and all of its tenant units including the Defense Language Institute (DLI). I function in a leadership and decision making role as department head on a staff of XX that services a student body of XXX. I report and advise directly to the unit Commanding Officer on all security related matters including Personnel, Physical, and Information Security. I have acquired Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) from Center for Development of Security Excellence and am scheduled to also acquire Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) and Physical Security Certification (SPC) in 2014. I served two years in the United States Army, graduating Defense Language Institute in Serbian-Croatian Studies with a DLPT score of 3/2+/2 cum Laude and multiple awards for Physical Fitness Excellence.
